Springwood Drop-In Centre

Come in for a free cup of tea and have a chat with a friendly volunteer, access community information, free food and toiletries, use our public computers or grab a book from our free book library!

We also run groups, community garden, technology help, support programs and a range of counselling:

Reading Group:
Springwood Springwood Drop in Centre, 3/163 Macquarie Rd
Every Monday 3pm - 4.00pm
A different short story is read out loud every week, come listen, share a great story over a cuppa.

Digital Mentoring:
Springwood Springwood Drop in Centre, 3/163 Macquarie Rd
One-on-one sessions to help you learn how to use technology every Thursday afternoon. Learn to use phones, tablets, computers, social media etc.

Springwood Community Garden:
168 Hawkesbury Rd
Working bees every Wednesday and Saturday morning from 9.30am, harvest shared at the end of each working bee. Help out and learn how to grow organic veggies, or just have a wander through the garden. Workshops and crop n swap throughout the year.

Refugee support:
Supporting communities to learn about, and support refugees and people seeking asylum in the Blue Mountains through Community Conversations, hosting, coordination and assistance.

Easter and Christmas:
Family egg/elf hunts in Springwood Village – search for eggs or elves hiding in shop windows

CatholicCare's counselling services – for individuals, couples, kids, financial, and problem gambling are all available.

Keeping Kids in Mind:
A group program for parents experiencing conflict after separation

Cool Kids:
A group program for children and youth experiencing anxiety

Community Womens' Circle:

The Women’s Circle is held fortnightly on Fridays at the Springwood Drop-In Centre from 10am - 11.30am. It is a place to gather with other local women, share conversation and take part in activities such as free writing and craft, and enjoy a relaxing guided meditation.
