LIONS CLUB KINGS LANGLEY – FOOD DONATION

LIONS CLUB KINGS LANGLEY – FOOD DONATION

CatholicCare Blacktown received a call late November from the Lions Club President, Roland DeLeon, offering food donations for the needy people and families within the Blacktown LGA. Irene Vasey our Blacktown Receptionist was to collect the items after 7pm.

On arriving at 7pm, Irene was totally blown away:  there were 3 trolleys filled to capacity with all kinds of food items. Rolando assured her that more donations would be coming in consecutive days to pick up further donations. All in all CatholicCare collected 8 trolleys of food items with an estimated total cost of $4,000.

Words cannot express our gratitude for this wonderful gesture by the Lions Club.

Heartfelt thanks go to the President – Rolando DeLeon, John Fernandes – Secretary, and to Derek Margerison – District Governor, and his wife Barbara.  You made a lot of families happy

Assuring that  there would be food on their tables at Christmas.  Close to 100 families benefited from this wonderful gesture.
