The crisis of diminishment that we face allows us an opportunity to divest ourselves of all the unnecessary trappings, to focus on what is our core mission, to act more prophetically and to live more fully, more creatively, more boldly, more at the periphery”.

An important aspect of the Mamre Refugee Program is the continual pastoral support we’re able to provide, with practical issues and the many day-to-day aspects of living in a very different culture.

 

As I leave, I see a very different Mamre. The women are much more self-reliant and confident. So it is with a great deal of pride, satisfaction and gratitude that I look back over these years and I know that I have been blessed to have shared so many experiences with these wonderful, courageous spiritual women.

Sue is a System and School Learning Consultant and has led a system of schools, 45,000 students and 5,000 teachers as the Deputy Executive Director of Schools and Director of Learning for the Catholic Education Diocese of Parramatta until 2019.
